L’Heure Bleue was originally released in 1912. A powdery floral with a very vintage feel. The blue hour refers to twilight, and this scent does a fine job of translating that into a fragrance. Iris, Violet and a bouquet of masterfully blended florals combine to create a blue, almost melancholic creation. It’s a classic that’s stood the test of time and a must smell for any perfumista.
Top notes are Anise, Neroli, Coriander, Bergamot and Lemon.
Middle notes are Heliotrope, Carnation, Violet, Cloves, Neroli, Ylang-Ylang, Bulgarian Rose, Jasmine, Orchid and Tuberose.
Base notes are Iris, Vanilla, Benzoin, Sandalwood, Tonka Bean, Musk and Vetiver.
